Louise Burke

About Louise

Louise recently made her first television appearance as the Band’s Stripper, Kay, in Danny Boyle’s Pistol starring alongside Toby Wallace and John Lydon. In the summer of 2021, she was cast as the Princes’ Royal Nanny in Netflix’s The Crown starring alongside Elizabeth Debicki. On the music front, Louise has been training privately with renowned vocal coach Mary Hammond (West End, Lea Salonga, Adele and Chris Martin) since early 2015 and is working with lead singer Sonja Kristina of Curved Air on her first album. She recently released her first two singles, Artist's Rut and Benevolent not Malevolent, both produced by renowned producer, Jon Cohen. Louise recently worked as an SFX technician and assistant armorer under the tutelage of Perry Costello on the Bollywood productions of "Tehran" (in which she also starred as Diplomat's Secretary, Anya) starring John Abraham and produced by Sandeep Leyzell, and  “Neeyat” starring Vidya Balan and directed by Anu Menon. She recently starred in Betfred's Safer Gambling commercial shown on 5USA, and is lined up to be cast in another commercial, as well as in a Bollywood film filming May 2024.

Louise is a trained interpreter and translator, having obtained an MA in French and Hispanic Studies from the University of Glasgow and a PGDip in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Westminster. She is currently working as a freelance translator for the United Nations and is fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. She has an excellent accent in each of these languages - if given a script she would sound like a native speaker.
